Abussi implemented a Hosted Exchange service which allowed a PC, laptop and smartphone to work from the same mailbox thus offering fully synchronized email, calendar and contacts across all devices. A DropBox Cloud Storage service was also implemented which allowed data to be shared with external partners. This too was then available on the various devices, resulting in seamless access to vital data and communications regardless of location. |

No effective central server was in place to hold vital business data and user information was held on a “per PC‟ basis rather than centrally to aid efficient working practices. They operate from a head office with 8 staff and a branch office with 5 staff, using two specialist IT systems both hosted at the main office, and require continuous Internet access for all company employees. In addition to the data networking requirement Maguire Jackson wanted to take advantage of VoIP (Voice over IP) to make free calls between the two offices and employee’s homes. |
